This Labyrinth Pilgrimage is a devotional guide for
a journey into The Cross Labyrinth. Originally prepared for
use during the season of Lent, it provides the pilgrim with daily thoughts
and prayers through the scriptures leading up to the crucifixion and resurrection
of Jesus. Lent is a season of 40 days, but does not include Sundays. There
are six Sundays during Lent, and Easter Sunday is the beginning of the Easter
season, or Eastertide. Adding these Sundays, there are 47 days, which is
the number of straight lines which form The Cross Labyrinth
and lead to the foot of the cross.
Pilgrims may find it useful to follow the path with a finger labyrinth. A small picture of the path appears on the page for each devotional, or a wooden finger labyrinth available in The HymnStore can be used.
God bless you on your labyrinth pilgrim journey.
