Survey and lessons

Thank you for taking time to explore these materials. This survey and course was originally designed for a five-week presentation in an adult Sunday School class. Each of the first four weeks includes a survey and an accompanying discussion of several gifts. The final week is for summarizing and looking for opportunities within and beyond the local congregation to make greater use of gifts.

The online survey has been designed for this five-week approach. It compiles individual results, and, if you register your group in advance, a class leader can retrieve an anonymous, statistical composite. If individuals want to share their responses openly, they can do so by sharing their identities. Here is a quick outline of the course:

• Week 1:

      • Instrumental Music
      • Speaking and Writing
      • Vocal Music

• Week 3:

  • Survey--Others' Reactions (third person subjective survey)
  • Lesson and discussion:
    • How we minister
    • Gifts of Service
      • Healing and Miracles
      • Helping
      • Hospitality
      • Mercy
      • Prayer or Intercession
      • Serving

• Week 4:

  • Survey--Others' Requests (third person objective survey)
  • Lesson and discussion:
    • How we inspire
    • Gifts of Leadership
      • Administration
      • Apostle
      • Encouragement/Exhortation
      • Evangelist
      • Leadership
      • Missionary
      • Pastor
      • Teaching

• Week 5:

  • Survey--Basic Survey and/or Composite Results
  • Lesson and discussion:
    • What your survey might tell you
    • The lesson is over!
    • Ministry opportunities in the church
